Why Optimal Performance and Recovery

As humans, there are a few things we all share in common. We have goals and aspirations we’re passionate about pursuing in life; we want to have a meaningful impact on those around us, and we want to feel fulfilled and proud of our lives.

Each ingredient requires consistent energy, intention, and effort from us to move closer toward those ideal states. The question then becomes, how do we ensure we are performing and recovering optimally to get the most out of each present day?

We now know unequivocally that many of these optimal performance and recovery tools are at our fingertips. Breathwork, meditation, mindfulness, and cold exposure significantly reduce stress, anxiety, and depression and play a crucial role in priming our physiology for optimal performance and recovery.

This workshop seeks to provide each participant with the knowledge and practical experience of these optimal performance and recovery tools.

What to Expect

During your session, you will gain a working understanding of how each of these tools works and the impact it has on our minds and body. In addition, you will be able to share with other like-minded peers and learn in a small and safe group setting. The second half of the workshop is dedicated to safely guiding the group through a hands-on experience with these tools: breath, meditation, and hot and cold exposure.

You will be safely guided through this new and exciting experience by your host, Tyrell Mara, who has 20 years of experience supporting individuals and teams with Optimal Performance & Recovery practices.

The Workshop will take place in a beautiful natural setting immersed in nature, on Tyrell and Natasha Mara’s family farm, O’Bella Farms, in Langley, BC.

Meet your Host

Your host, Tyrell Mara, has been practicing and coaching Optimal Performance & Recovery in athletics, business, and life for over 20 years. Tyrell is a former world-level elite athlete in multiple sports, including basketball, CrossFit, and track & field, and has spent the last ten years as a corporate executive leader.

Tyrell has two priorities with the Optimal Performance & Recovery workshop:

  1. Equipping each individual with a framework and set of tools to take with you back into their day-to-day life.
  2. Guiding each participant safely step-by-step through the experience of breathwork, meditation, and hot and cold exposure.
